UMBRIA

HERE ARE A FEW PHOTOS I TOOK WHILE AWAY IN ITALY...

I was lucky enough to stay in this beautiful villa.
The whole villa has been restored a really lovely way, retaining its rustic authenticity but at the same time bringing it up to date with some modern splash's of detail. Here are a few interior photos I took.

I am not really a fan of church's however I do really love the Romanesque style that seems to be adopted by many church's in Umbria

I loved this beaten up tiles in one section of the church.

The main aisle was made up of mosaics created by different craftsmen in the area so the pattern changes as you walk up to the alter

We got lost in a walled city and were so hungry we gave up looking for the main district and crept into a very strange little restaurant. I liked the vaulted ceiling.

One evening we went to a very nice house where an art exhibition was being held. The same architect who designed our villa had worked on this one as well.

I love these chairs

They had this picturesque pool which had a lovely outlook
